Ingredients

  • 1 (5 oz) bag seasoned croutons, crushed
  • 1 lb ground sausage mixed with 1 TB dried Italian seasoning, browned
  • 1 (14 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz) bag mozzarella & provolone shredded cheese or Italian cheese
  • 1 cup sauteed veggies of choice: mushrooms, bell peppers, onion
  • ½ cup fresh Italian parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Crush croutons and distribute in 6 (6oz) ramekin dishes that have been sprayed with cooking oil. Cook sausage, drain and set aside. Top crouton layer with tomato sauce (about 3 TB) followed by cooked sausage (1/4 cup) and sauteed veggies (if desired). Finish with a layer of shredded Italian cheese blend and bake for 15 minutes at 425 F or until top is golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh Italian parsley.
