Sautéed Green Beans with lemon, garlic and shallots
Ingredients
- 12 oz trimmed fresh green beans
- 1 TB vegetable oil
- 1 TB minced shallot
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 TB lemon juice
- Kosher salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Blanch green beans by placing in boiling water for 1 minute, drain and place in an ice water bath.
- Using a sauté pan, add vegetable oil and warm over medium high heat. Once oil is hot, add shallot and cook for 30-45 seconds making sure to not burn.
- Add green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook an additional 1-2 minutes until beans are tender
- Season to taste with lemon juice, Kosher salt and black pepper.
