Happy Foodie Friday, Friends!
In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, I bring you this recipe using brown butter. Yep, you read that correctly…brown butter!
If you haven’t tried making cookies with brown butter, I encourage you to give it a shot. It’s a trick that will elevate your chocolate chip cookies by giving it a slightly nuttier flavor and beautiful color.
It will add a bit of work to your prep time, which is the only bummer especially if you’re looking for a quick cookie fix. Making brown butter does take about 10 minutes and with this recipe, you’ll want to chill the dough before baking.
For this recipe, I used dark chocolate morsels which are bigger than normal chocolate chips. The great thing is you can customize based on your chocolate preferences. I also made a batch with 1 cup dark chocolate chip morsels and 1/2 cup cinnamon chips, which screams fall. It was sooo good!
Enjoy!
